Currently the extension of the passport is not possible.
Applicants are now obliged to go to Burundi in order to renew or request a passport.
Each application is accompanied by either a copy of a passport or a Burundian identity card plus a residence permit for Germany or the other 13 countries represented in Berlin.
Proof of celibacy (e.g. latest tax returns filled marital status as single)
Request Letter
A signed request letter (mention your current address, phone number and email)
Immigration Status
A copy of a document stating the applicant’s status in the country of resident
Money Order
A non-refundable money order/cashier’s check of 30.00€ (per document if different documents) payable to the Embassy of Burundi
Notoriety Act in Lieu of Birth Certificate
If you need the embassy to provide you with a notoriety act in lieu of a certificate, you must provide the following
